Correct, all (i386) packages shipped with Red Hat Linux will run on an 
i386. The only package Red Hat no longer provides for an i386 is the 
kernel. The RULE installer will install stock Red Hat packages (with the 
exception of the kernel) on an i386. The result, while completely 
unsupported by Red Hat, is a working i386 machine. (In as little as 8M of 
RAM, as well.)
