you have to edit your /etc/modules.conf files,
and add these lines:
alias scanner vendor=      product=
Use the codes found in the list --->
USB Vendor/Device IDs list
which is a link at http://www.linux-usb.org/

It looks like your particular product and model is *not*
supported, but .... you never know. It just *might* work....
