Yes, it sounds fine for a single desktop with good bandwidth.

However, I support a number of boxes. Some have no internet connection at all.

Since I get to run my upgrade script many times, it seems worth the effort. I just go around with a CD-RW.

I also like being able to test upgrades in private before the end users see them.<g>

But, if it was just the box on my desk, I wouldn't go to all that trouble.
