Hello! I'm already transcoding an avi file to mpeg. My computer is workink for 20 hours now. On 7.2 with kernel 2.4.20 (I use the same version, but applied ck6 patch on RH 9) it took max 8-9 hours. Mplayer, mjpegtools, transcode is complied from src rpm (freshrpms.net) with no avifile support. The hardware is of course the same. Is it another problem of nptl?
