Wow, it looks cool! :-) I installed Red Hat Linux 9 on my Shuttle SS40G (Athlon based), and it went smoothly where up to now it was mandatory to add "pci=" kernel parameter in order to get the install and the system to work. So I guess your chances are increased, although there's only one way to be sure: try.
