Re: firebird packages ?

Firebird is not popular.  Unfortunately people have refused to look
at anything but the two historically free databases when, for instance,
SAPDB is far more capable (I haven't had time to experiment with
Firebird)

The fact the Mozilla people hadn't heard about Firebird is NOT an
excuse: at one point they learned the name had been taken and they
refused to change, instead they try to bully the less known project.

The name being in use for music, cars or oatflakes is not an argument:
names are exclusive only in the same domain of activity.
