Recover/convert unuseable mpeg file?

Hello,

I have got an 18 MB mpeg file (captured on Windows from a camcorder).

the command mpg123 test.mpg gives:

Playing MPEG stream from test.mpg...
Searching for next FF header
Can't find frame start.

and exits

plaympeg says: error MPEG-1 Streams with D-frames are not supported

mplayer plays the file an says:

MPEG-PS file format detected

How can I convert/process that file so it is loadable by any mpeg
player?

TIA,
		Marco Fioretti
