Some obscure setting is off -- he probably should run a reset on his
BIOS to defaults.

Could also be that his BIOS has been corrupted somehow -- wonder if he
has flashed upgrades somewhere along the way and one worked cleanly and
the other not.

Oh well, will be interesting to see what he tells us when back in his
office on Monday.
