Yep, that's my impression too, it's more stable. I have the kernel
running now. This time it was a lot easier, probably because I'm more
aware of what needs to be done after 50 earlier compiles.

Cryptoloop won't compile. Other than that and sound support it's a
dream. I do need to check rawhide for new stuff like glibc though.
