On my RH9 test box (and RH 8.0 for that matter) I downloaded:

* the mozilla-1.3-0_rh8_xft RPM file set (11 files) from mozilla.org using ftp.

* and the matching galeon-1.2.9-1_8.x.i386.rpm file from ftp://latinhouse.metalab.unc.edu/pub/sourceforge/galeon

These were installed with the command:

rpm -Fvh galeon-1.2.9-1_8.x.i386.rpm mozilla-1.3-0_rh8_xft.i386.rpm mozilla-chat-1.3-0_rh8_xft.i386.rpm mozilla-devel-1.3-0_rh8_xft.i386.rpm mozilla-dom-inspector-1.3-0_rh8_xft.i386.rpm mozilla-js-debugger-1.3-0_rh8_xft.i386.rpm mozilla-mail-1.3-0_rh8_xft.i386.rpm mozilla-nspr-1.3-0_rh8_xft.i386.rpm mozilla-nspr-devel-1.3-0_rh8_xft.i386.rpm mozilla-nss-1.3-0_rh8_xft.i386.rpm mozilla-nss-devel-1.3-0_rh8_xft.i386.rpm mozilla-psm-1.3-0_rh8_xft.i386.rpm

It's not exactly bleeding edge... but it seems stable... and it has the spam controls in e-mail.

best,

Cliff Kent
