It was a typo, it's a PIII 500 Toshiba laptop. I didn't notice this behavior in RH8, but then again, I don't recall the proc/cpuinfo there. I'm equally, if not more worried about my web browsers running like they're sucking air. This is a straight install. I had to install in text mode, because the gui kept dying. Also, occassionally I get segfaults when dicking with my nics. I have a 3COM on the dock and a wireless on the laptop itself. All worked fine with RH8. So far, I'm not impressed but I figure how different can they be? <<JAV>> ---------- Original Message ----------- From: seth vidal <skvidal@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: shrike-list@xxxxxxxxxx Sent: 24 Apr 2003 14:15:15 -0400 Subject: Re: Fw: 2 RH9 issues > On Thu, 2003-04-24 at 14:10, Bill Nottingham wrote: > > seth vidal (skvidal@xxxxxxxxxxxx) said: > > > > > > On Thu, 2003-04-24 at 14:00, Bill Nottingham wrote: > > > > Joe Polk (listuser@xxxxxxxxxxxxx) said: > > > > > 2.
