I have this problem too with my Hewlett-Packard Pavilion 840n box. The
motherboard has an integrated SIS 9xx ethernet adapter and I can't get
the Red Hat 7.x or 8 installer code to recognize it. I ended up
installing with the CDs, to my immense self-disgust.
