Another alternative is to set up CUPS to accept lpd connections and set up
the Win2K printer to print to an lpd queue. For my laser printer, this
seemed simplest.

But does anyone know if this will work with the HP DeskJet 5550? I found
the HP drivers, one for "home use" with USB support and the other for
"office use" with parallel support. I haven't installed them yet (HP
server links were broken), but it's not clear from the description if
either of these drivers will print over a LAN, via either Windows printer
sharing or lpd.
