Re: Possible bug in redhat-config-network with devices

Hi,

Taking the subject but not exactly about the same stuff (wireless), I
think that there is a problem that I'm not sure whether it's a bug or if
there's some documentation I didn't find yet.

It's about profiles' devices.

Back in RH8 I sort of guessed the structure of the profiles so I
prepared several profiles for my networks, and I made a little shell
script to copy the files because there wasn't any command line
equivalent.

There is, now, a redhat-config-network-cmd which is pretty useful
specially since I won't need to rely on that little script anymore... or
should I? :)

It so happens that redhat-config-network REPLACES all ifcfg-eth0 files
in each profile with HARDLINKS to the same file (I don't know which one
is the original).

Is it a bug or is it something I'm doing wrong?

Anyway, luckily I made a backup of my profiles before trying it out,
because I'd have a lot of trouble (I wonder through a lot of networks)
getting it all back.

Hugs, Rui
