The libmad is optional, so if you recompile it, libmad will not be demanded.


BTW, I have problems with it that I didn't have on psyche. Once my machine
freezed when I pressed 'Add device' button in k3bsetup, and once X session
freezed in k3bsetup when I wanted to add new user, and I had to kill X with
Ctrl-Alt-Backspace. All this happened in Gnome desktop, it works better in
KDE.

Hi...
Thanks for the info....I have d/loaded and installed the file but when 
trying to install k3b
it still tells me I need libmad.so.0.....Can you tell me what I am doing 
wrong ??
