Total lockups are very difficult to diagnose - you probably have to log
the console via a serial connection to another machine, or setup a net
dump, and even then you may not get anything useful. My case has more
debugging potential, it always occurs during a particular screen saver,
and you can log in remotely to the machine, so it definitely an X related
problem, though so far I have had to reboot the machine to get the
keyboard/mouse/display to respond.
