Thanks It's possible that some ServerWorks chipsets that have BIOSes on them that do not default CD-ROM modes to PIO (instead of DMA) will have speeds miscalculated. If possible, can you check to see if you can change drive to PIO mode? (I'm not even sure which chipset that Proliant used, but this is my best guess.)
