I'm experiencing a rather wierd problem. After installing redhat 9 on a fresh system (2xXeon, Aic7902), grub loads the kernel, it boots, mounts the root filesystem, frees unused kernel memory and then... nothing. it simply waits forever there.
Do you get output from alt-sysrq-t (or -p, or -m)? Are the keyb
alt-sysrq-t says that init is running (NOTLB) Call trace: [<c010a85e>] do_IRQ [kernel] 0xbe (0xf7fb9fa0)) [<c01168c0>] do_page_fault [kernel] 0x0 (0xf7fb9fb0)) [<c0109200>] error_code [kernel] 0x34 (0xf7b9fb8))
Any ideas?
