machine  http://10.46.46.1:631/printers/laser told it the driver to use and 
it has worked.  i did try samba once and had a few issues conecting to the 
printer.  it is still shared via samba and a freind used his notebook to 
print to it not long ago via samba  i think from memory that using samba 
didnt show what jobs were in the spool  it just sent them but using ipp it 
did  thats about it i think  from my experience.
