If I understand the issues correctly, RHL 8.0 and 9 are pushing the
freedesktop.org standards, and the Gnome2 menu editing code breaks
compatibility with KDE and is a bit of a mess to fix. You can find some
posts on the Phoebe list from Havoc Pennington about the issue. For some
