RE: MySQL Setup Problem

I have the same problem, especially with mysqlcc (the GUI distributed by
mysql.com). It also crashes a lot. Where can I find the error log for it?
Also, how do we set it up so I can use my normal account, rather than root?

Subject: MySQL Setup Problem

I tried running:

mysqladmin -u root password 'new-password'

and it (at least the first time) was fine. Now when I try to change the
password again, or start a mysql instance, it says 'access denied for
user root@xxxxxxxxx using password YES'

Help!
