I have the same issue with RH7.3 and a Belkin F1D074 KVM.  You
can, however, recover mouse pointer control by switching to a
virtual terminal and switching back (<alt><ctrl><f1> - <alt><f7>
for example).

Hope that helps in decreasing your reboots.
