I don't see it that way.

RH has been cutting a release of their standard distro about every six
months for a long time.  I think it is great to get access to fully
integrated and well tested cutting edge software at that frequency.
With the number of RH boxes I run and the frequency of releases I tend to
only buy every other release.

The production/stable servers can be handled very well with the Advanced
server line (now enterprise line) with releases every two years.
