That is the confusing part, when I run it from a terminal I do not see any errors:

[root@xxx images]# service syslog restart
Shutting down kernel logger:                               [  OK  ]
Shutting down system logger:                               [  OK  ]
Starting system logger:                                    [  OK  ]
Starting kernel logger:                                    [  OK  ]

>From the logs:

Mar 22 10:12:08 www syslog: klogd shutdown succeeded
Mar 22 10:12:08 www syslog: syslogd startup succeeded
Mar 22 10:12:08 www syslog: klogd startup succeeded
Mar 22 10:12:08 www syslog: syslogd shutdown succeeded

Mar 22 10:12:06 www kernel: Kernel logging (proc) stopped.
Mar 22 10:12:06 www kernel: Kernel log daemon terminating.
Mar 22 10:12:08 www exiting on signal 15
Mar 22 10:12:08 www syslogd 1.4.1: restart.
Mar 22 10:12:08 www kernel: klogd 1.4.1, log source = /proc/kmsg started.

I only see it during reboot.
