Hi all, I am a beginner in Linux. I recently install RH8.0 on my Acer 7200D. Every now and then, the machine will crash (stop responding) or the X server just die for some reason unknown to me. All I have open (excluding the services running) is just mozilla, XMMS, some terminal and eclipse. The machine comes with GeForce 4 MX420, onboard network and sound. I have upgraded the kernel to 2.4.18-19.8.0, but problems persist. The only useful piece of info (from my point of view, anyway) I got from syslog is: kernel: ohci1394: pci_module_init failed Would anyone mind helping me out and direct me on how to find the problem and resolve this issues.
