I did find this site: http://www.ece.utexas.edu/~jlang/linux-keyboard/ which has a patch for 2.4.18. I tried the patch with 2.4.20, and the USB keyboard and mouse didn't work at all, even though they were getting detected by the hotplug usb.agent. Good thing I had a PS/2 keyboard nearby. I spent a lot of time playing with this, I saw the keybdev and mousedev modules getting loaded, and I simply could not figure out why they were not getting input from the keyboard and mouse themselves. > I wonder if logitech 'updated' the keyboard firmware and changed the > responses. -- or maybe theres a magic init sequence that X isn't > doing right. Well, are you getting keycodes above 255? If so, you're probably using a kernel newer than 2.4.18, which is stock with RH 8.0. 2.4.18 won't recognize 256 or higher for a keycode according to the source. If you could let me know your kernel rev, that would be great. Thanks! Ted -- Psyche-list mailing list Psyche-list@redhat.com https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/psyche-list
