If you want to learn a VERY useful scripting > language, I'd start with Perl. I agree that perl can do anything (everything?) but I can use awk, grep, sed, etc. a lot faster, and with far fewer lines of code. Plus, there's a really nice tool called a2p which will take an awk script and convert it to perl so you can use awk as an uber-RAD tool to build perl scripts. (It's also the way I learned perl in the first place). - -- "Khaaaaamaaayyyy, Haaaaamaaaayyyy, HAAAAAAAAA!!!!!" -- Goku, Dragon Ball -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE+Jr1YHeWRPx8OIHARArC6AKCWClPscboCU1PnJ0xV4a2OZyt3hwCZAVNA yCnrqhBwfE5uuQm0ARijVFQ= =1XL8 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- Psyche-list mailing list Psyche-list@redhat.com https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/psyche-list
