Actually better yet, when you install the plugins, install them to
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins (note the lack of a version number on the
mozilla directory), and all versions of mozilla will look for them
there. This will save you the hastle of moving/copying them around
every time you upgrade.

The RPMS from mozilla.org already install in a different directory
than the RH RPMS. The RPMS from both RH and Mozilla install in
/usr/lib/mozilla-<version>, so there's no need to worry about
collisions. Using the -U option to rpm will remove the older version,
which was installed in a different directory anyway, so there should
be no need to do this manually with rpm -e.

I will note that while I'm pretty happy with the Xft support in
mozilla 1.2.1, it is a bit more buggy than the non-Xft version. I
do get periodic crashes with it, where I never did with the prior
non-Xft releases (which, since they were earlier versions, may have
nothing to do with the Xft support, though I think that's unlikely).
