Changing your window manager to something other than Metacity in
GNOME2 is HARD... even for many experienced users.  The process is far
from obvious (unless maybe you're very familiar with how such things
work).  Furthermore, AFAIK the process is not documented anywhere
(except possibly on some random mailing list archive)...
