Nah, don't use --force or --nodeps. At least not in this case.

This tries to install a _source_ rpm either as a non-root user or
without the "rpmbuild" package installed (which contains the
/usr/src/redhat tree).

Is the "xmms" package installed? rpm --query xmms

Same here. Is the "xmms" package installed? rpm --query xmms

If not, install it together with the other packages:

  rpm -ivh xmms*i386..rpm

or:

  rpm -ivh xmms-1.2.7-13.p.i386.rpm xmms-mp3-1.2.7-13.p.i386.rpm
