-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello psyche-list, We're having a bit of trouble with the gcc 3.2 for RH 8.0, mostly having to do with interaction with gdb. One of my co-workers showed me some of the difficulties. Here are 2. He set a breakpoint on the constructor for a class, and another breakpoint in a function called by the constructor. The second breakpoint hit, but not the first. However, the constructor is seen in the backtrace. He showed stepping through the constructor and where a String has its value set. After executing the line that sets the value, an attempt to display the String's value in gdb gave a response indicating that there was no such variable in the current context. Looking at www.gnu.org, I do not see a more recent gdb, but I do see a gcc 3.2.1. I was wondering whether gcc <-> gdb interactions are among the things fixed in 3.2.1, and whether gcc 3.2.1 is due for RH 8.0 any time soon. Thanks!
