Have you seen a Xeon with hyperthreading enabled?

(Maybe I've got that wrong, if so please let
me know). I thought that the Xeon used the SMP
kernel for multiprocessors while hyperthreading
requires SMT support. (I'm dangerously out of my
depth here folks - about to drown in acronyms!)

If I'm right and hyperthreading does require a
later kernel than the current 2.4.18 variant how
likely is it that Red Hat would introduce such a
kernel in the near future (ie. 6 months or so).
