Hi all, Has anyone else experienced problems wehn running Linux on an Athlon XP platform? After a recent hardware upgrade from a motherboard with a VIA KT266a chipset to one with a VIA KT333 chipset, I have found that I get segmentation faults all over the place. Processes die with sig 11 every few minutes, and don't even think about trying to compile a kernel! My system at work has run for years without a hitch on a Celeron, so I am a little diappointed. If anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful! It may be that there is a hardware problem, but other people I know have experienced similar problems with Athlon XPs running with VIA KT333 chipsets. Hardware: AMD Athlon XP 2200+ (Thoroughbred revision A) EPoX 8KT5A2+ mainboard. 512Mb DDR333 ram 100 and 120 gig Western Digital hard disks GeForce4 Ti4400 video SoundBlaster Live 5.1 sound Cheers!
