I am trying to format/mount a newly acquired 6GB drive. That's why I am asking here. I am not having hardware problems - the hard drive works. I simply want to know how to set it up in RHL8... I did this: #ls /proc/ide drivers hda hdb hdc hdd ide0 ide1 sis # SO... it can see the drive - but when I try to fdisk it I get this: #./fdisk /dev/hdb Unable to open /dev/hdb # AS MENTIONED THIS WAS PREVIOUSLY A MAC OSX VOLUME.
