after typing something like this

cdrecord -v disc1.iso

I get something like this:

Even when I use the speed=6, I get the same output...
by the way I already checked.. the cd's are capable of
recording up to 16x.. and my cdrecord.conf has been
edited (suposedly) to have speed 6x...
