Is everything in that path the same filesystem?
I tried with local files and loopback mounted *.iso
files and worked. But over NFS, only the upper directorty was exported,
not the loopback mounts for each disk.

You cannot use the --isodir option over NFS.
The runtime kernel doesn't support loopback over
the network like the install kernel does.

That worked for local files.

Is the .diskinfo file in there? Can you post it's contents?

That's what I got when exporting a symlink tree to the loop
mounted iso files.

I don't enough free space for the files and the iso's. :(
