If you can actually boot the new RH 8.0 cd to the first text-based menu, start up linux with: linux mediacheck (or it might be linux checkmedia) This will validate the entire RH 8.0 CD image. You can insert ANY of the 3 RH 8.0 ISO discs, and it will check the entire thing. If all your discs check out, then the problem may be the new isolinux format. Check the RH 8.0 release notes, as they mention this.
