What I have done is comment out these two sections in /etc/XF86Config: Section "module" load "dri" EndSection Section "DRI" Mode 0666 EndSection Also, based on Bob Arent's advice, I have set a single screensaver with xscreensaver-demo. I don't sem to be loading GLcore, glx, or v4l though. Now I'll sit back and see if video stability improves....
