If it's a hardware or BIOS problem, it's probably easiest to just 
replace the card.  What makes you think it is a hardware issue 
though?  Not saying it isn't, just curious.

Ok, I'm not that up on the S3 drivers these days.  ;o)

Ah, ok.  I thought it was some new three letter acronym I've

Better yet, send me the patch, and I'll build an rpm for you to 
test, and if it fixes the problem, it might be a keeper.  Please 
make sure it isn't infected by the new XFree86 license however.

There are both AGP and PCI Radeon models available.
