I'm using 4.3.0-2, stock RH 9.0. I just tried it with your driver; no change. Just for the heck of it I also added "CloneDisplay" "0" to the primary device, but it didn't make a difference either.

weird. I think there is a bug in the recent cvs radeon code that seems
to cause clone mode to override other modes on the second head. I
assume you are using xfree 4.3.0? if you are using one of the newer -8
or -10 rpms from Mike, they have the newer cvs code. try backing off to
the version that came with rh9 (assuming you are using redhat 9), or
replace your radeon_drv.o with this one:

http://www.botchco.com/alex/radeon/430bugfix/radeon_drv.o

it fixes the dualhead cursor/screen blank bug, but leaves out the new
ddc and clone code. My new cvs mergedfb code gets rid of the old clone
code (has it's own) and seems to work ok, so there might be a bug in
the clone logic. My guess is something having to do with the monitor
detection and clone mode enabling. I suspect clone gets explicitly
enabled when a second monitor is detected, even if a user wants to do
two separate distinct heads.
