Hi Mark, They are actually ported for use in the x86_64 platform in order to give functionality to a 32 bit package. For example: we use HP's Server Management Homepage and one package is still in 32 bit. I have to install zlib i386 and several others to get it to function. Note that I'm talking about dups; for example, zlib-1.2.3-3.i386.rpm zlib-1.2.3-3.x86_64.rpm Why are they there? mark -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
