storix not only backs up data files to network server, also it provides the
ability to rebuild
a system from ground up on different HW environment, even Oracle DB backup,
migrate from disk partitions to HW/SW RAID.

We use storix (www.storix.com <http://www.storix.com>). With storix you
can
create a bootable CD that will read what they call system backups. These
backups can be on tape. The result is similar to make_recovery on HP-UX,
but
you boot into the GUI on the CD and then restore from there. We use the
client/server edition so we also have centralized administration.
