Poor NFS Performance, already tried the obvious

I've got a RHEL 3 server, running NFS. When I connect from my Mac, I get decent performance. When I mount a share from a RHEL workstation; however, performance is horrid.. on the order of 1/2 a megabyte per second.

I've tested network throughput, which looks fine (94 Mb/s), and disk I/O. All the duplex settings appear correct. I've also tried changing the wsize from 4096, to 8192, to 16384.

Does anyone have any other ideas of NFS tuning options? Presumably it's something on the client, but I can't put my finger on it.

Thanks for any advice,

Norman
