Problem using up2date

Hi,

I installed Linux in my PIV machine and first thing that came to my mind is to update my system.

And so I read about up2date. Unluckily, I get this “Problem registering username” every time I use the Redhat network.

I do have an existing account and I even downloaded and run the recent up2date updates.

Please take note of the error below. I hope this might help

[root@linuxbox01 root]# up2date -u
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/share/rhn/up2date_client/gui.py", line 405, in onPrivacyPagePrepare    text = rhnreg.privacyText()
  File "/usr/share/rhn/up2date_client/rhnreg.py", line 173, in privacyText
    s = rpcServer.getServer()
  File "/usr/share/rhn/up2date_client/rpcServer.py", line 81, in getServer
    password=proxyPassword)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/rhn/rpclib.py", line 67, in __init__
    type = string.lower(type)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.2/string.py", line 54, in lower
    return s.lower()
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'lower'

Can anyone help me with my problem?
