Cron's main config file, /etc/crontab, is owned by root and the cron log says 'root' is running this crontab. But when I sudo to root, and issue the 'crontab -l' command, I don't see it (in fact I see a different crontab that we installed and is stored in /var/spool/cron).
Everything is working fine but I'm wondering how you edit /etc/crontab as someone added some cron jobs and we need to remove them. Do I simply edit the file in vi and restart crond?
