I suspect there is a bcmxxxx.o under your old kernel (lib/modules/2.4.18-14/kernel/drivers/net/). I would try copying this to your new kernel, then try /sbin/insmod bcmxxxx If not, suspect you need to get the latest driver from Broadcom.
