CUPS stops working after reboot?

This doesn't always happen, and i don't know how to reproduce it, but sometimes CUPS stops working after reboot: the admin console (http://localhost:631/admin) shows the printer is ready and accepting new jobs, yet no active jobs shown at all (It's like all the jobs have been quietly redirected to /dev/null) . And I can always fix this problem by deleting the printer and adding a new printer. Anyone having a similar problem? My configuration is Canon BJC2000 with Foomatic/bjc600 driver (not the recommended one but works fine for me).
