It happened again. I looked more closely, and saw that I'm about 60 MB short of 1GB on my Inbox, so it's not any 1G-related issue, I guess. I'm now compiling the 2.6.0-test9 kernel (without module support -- easier that way) to see if it's a Red Hat kernel problem. If it persists with that vanilla kernel, I'll post on lkml.
