The plain Barracudas certainly don't have SCT/ERC, and I got the impression that the Pros didn't either.

If you want to go down the Seagate route (I like them), look at the IronWolf drives. I've bought two 4TB drives - *not* the pro model, but I can't give you any detailed information because they're currently in my new system that I need to debug before it will boot :-(

(I get the impression that the basic and pro models differ basically in build quality and guarantees ...)
