Thanks Guy.. I'll keep an eye on it.. its a shame there is no log kept of all raid errors, warnings, successes so you could look back and see.. another thing is its a shame its not more visible that there is a problem.. obviously i could get it so consoles show info on startup but this being hidden probably meant i rebooted many a time whilst it was resyncing without finishing..
